I grew up being forced to attend church and Sunday School. In my junior year of high school, some young adults in our church began a youth ministry. That flipped the switch for me from hating church to having fun with Christians. I began to have an interest in discovering who Jesus is. Later that year, I walked the aisle, joined the church and was baptized. I began to question whether I had truly been saved and, later that year, twice more committed my life to Christ. The Gospel message is to recognize that Jesus Christ is God's One and Only Son, to place faith and trust in what God's word says about this Jesus, to accept His free gift of forgiveness for a life of sin and to yield every part of the new life to the One who is Master, Teacher, Shepherd and Savior. I have followed the teaching of John MacArthur, Allistair Begg, R.C. Sproul and Charles Stanley. How did my life change? My interests, my hopes and dreams, my plans, my friends, how I spent my time and with whom--it all changed.
