My name is Anna Burnette. My whole life I have been taught by my parents and church leaders the stories of the Bible, but gradually I have realized that it is not just knowing the truths of the Bible but actually believing that I am a sinner and that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment I deserve. After realizing this, God has shown me that I was living to look good outwardly and to please my parents. I have, and continue to, repent of this sin and many others, because I know God is willing to forgive me and he rejoices at every person who comes to faith. I rely on the fact that Jesus died in my place on the cross to take the punishment I deserve, and he rose to conquer death. Whoever puts their trust in him will not die but will have eternal life with him. I want to be baptized as a sign of my identification with Christ by faith. I want to do this in obedience to God and to identify with his church.
