Born and raised in Alabama, David attended Auburn University where he met his wife, Susanna. Following his graduation from Auburn, David went on to obtain a Master of Divinity in Church Music from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

David oversees all areas of ministry within the church, as well as its day-to-day operations. As the elder who gives oversight to the worship ministry at PBC, David also plans and leads in the worship gatherings and equips PBC members with resources to aid in their personal and family worship. In his spare time, David enjoys doing yard work and spending time with Susanna and their five children.
