Following the example of the Lord Jesus in being baptized is the privilege of everyone who professes faith in Christ as their Savior and Lord. Baptism is an outward sign of the inward change that Christ makes in the life of a believer. It is a public testimony before the church that a believer has died to his sin, has been buried through baptism, and has been raised to life in Christ. Through baptism, we identify with Christ’s own death, burial, and resurrection victory over the grave.
